Long standing online casino software provider, Cryptologic, is on the edge of entering into the sports wagering realm. The company is hoping to sign an agreement with international online sports betting operators, Betclic and is planning to launch a whole new range of games in union with multinationals DC Comics and Paramount Digital Entertainment.

Betclic is a part of the reputed Mangas Group, a huge French gaming company that mainly focuses on sports betting; the company takes particular interest in European football. This group is licensed in Malta, a major online gambling hub.

The group has business dealings in over 15 countries and according to the latest statistics the company is currently offering its services to about 1.5 million customers. The Ireland-based software gaming company, Cryptologic partners with DC Comics and Paramount Digital Entertainment and introduces casino online slots games with features that are characteristic of both these multinational groups. In accordance with the agreement Betclic in return would provide the Cryptologic casino product on its platform.

Cryptologic, which operates on both the Toronto and London exchanges, suffered an internal shareholder power struggle that was highly publicized for the past year and lost a number of its most valued licensees that included one of UK’s number two sports betting operation. Hopefully this present business endeavor will help them get back on track.
